Active leaks anywhere in the GTA get same-day priority dispatch. We answer at 2am, including weekends and holidays.
Complete liability coverage on every job. All work is documented and you are protected from start to finish.
Inspection reports, repair documentation, and scope estimates in writing before we touch anything.
We've worked on tens of thousands of GTA buildings. We recognise failure patterns before they become emergencies.
We trace the actual failure mode before proposing a scope, and we quote what that scope requires rather than inventing urgency.
“The work here is sourcing and technique rather than volume. Getting a slate roof right means finding stock that matches what is already on the building, and knowing that a flashing reseated into failing mortar will not hold no matter how good the metalwork is.”

Rated 5 out of 5Blue Knight was, by far, the best. Responsive, ethical, totally professional — and their crew went above and beyond at no extra charge.
Rated 5 out of 5They installed a full new roof in one day. The crew worked around the house without us hardly knowing they were there.

Luciano did not try to sell me a new roof. Appreciated the honesty — he showed up when he said he would.
We had a leak diagnosed by two other contractors who could not find the source. Blue Knight found it on the first visit and fixed it the same week.
Flat roof replacement on a commercial unit. Clean, fast, no surprises on the invoice. The crew left the site cleaner than they found it.
Called after a storm damaged our roof. Someone was on site within hours, tarped everything, and had us fully repaired before the next rain.
Had a slow basement leak for years. Every other company just caulked it. Blue Knight found the actual source and did a proper waterproofing job. No issues since.
Our neighbours recommended them for a valley repair. Small job, but they treated it like it mattered — showed up on time, matched the shingles perfectly, and charged exactly what they quoted.

We work across all areas of Forest Hill. If you don't see your neighbourhood listed, we almost certainly cover it.
Forest Hill North and South, the Village, Chaplin Estates, and across into Cedarvale. It is a compact area and close to the rest of our Toronto work, so we hold a consistent response window across all of it.
Yes, through Toronto Building. Structural roof work and foundation alterations require a permit; a like for like reroof generally does not. A number of properties here are heritage listed or designated, which adds a review for exterior alterations, and we establish whether yours is affected before quoting rather than after.
In most cases yes, and where we cannot we say so before the work starts rather than after. The usual fallback on a discontinued profile is to salvage sound material from a less visible elevation for the street facing repair and put the closest available substitute where nobody sees it. That is a decision you should make knowingly rather than discover afterwards.
Heritage material has been part of our work throughout the twenty five years the business has operated, alongside the commercial and membrane side. Running both matters here, because a firm that only does heritage will price everything as specialist work and a firm that only does volume will put asphalt on a slate roof.
Forest Hill divides roughly at Eglinton. The southern half, including the Village and Chaplin Estates, holds the earliest and densest fabric, much of it 1920s and 30s on relatively tight lots with mature canopy. North of Eglinton the houses get later and the lots larger, and there is more of the 1940s and 50s stock where cedar and asphalt start to appear alongside slate.
Cedarvale to the west sits lower, running down toward the ravine, which changes the below grade picture more than it changes the roofs. Properties nearer the ravine deal with water arriving through the ground rather than sitting against the foundation.
Every visit starts with diagnosis rather than a quote form. On a slate or tile roof that means identifying the material by type and grade before anything else, because it determines what a repair will involve and who is qualified to carry it out.
The written report names the material, the failure, and what fixing it properly requires, with photographs. On these buildings that record has a long life: the next owner, the next contractor, and the insurer all need to know what is actually on the roof, and very few properties here have that written down anywhere.
Forest Hill was developed from the 1920s through the 1950s and the roofs reflect it. Slate is common, clay tile appears on the Tudor and Norman revival houses, cedar shows up on the later stock, and original copper flashing, valleys, and downpipes are still in service on a great many properties. Almost none of it is asphalt, and the buildings that do carry asphalt usually acquired it during a replacement that should have gone differently.
Material is the constraint that shapes every job here. Slate varies by quarry in colour, thickness, and the way it weathers. Clay tile varies by profile, and profiles get discontinued. Copper develops a patina over decades that new copper does not match for years. A repair patched with whatever was available reads as a scar from the street for the rest of the building's life, on houses where that matters both aesthetically and financially.
The other constant here is the interface between roof and masonry. These houses have substantial chimneys, parapets, and stone or brick walls meeting roof planes at many points, and the counter flashing set into those mortar joints is where the water gets in far more often than the field of the roof.
